Learning Spanish

We had a lot of fun yesterday with Mrs. Talma and Mrs. Murray! We sang to two songs in Spanish. We took turns saying our favorite color. We listened to a color song and jumped up if we were wearing that color. We listened to the Hungry Caterpillar in Spanish!

During read aloud time we have been making Text to Self Connections. Rosemary Wells stories easily lend themselves to using this strategy because many of her books are about relationships with sibling and classmates in Mrs. Jenkin's class.
