The Queen of Ten

Monday was the 90th day of school...we had a visit from the Queen of Ten!!!!!! She gave us a SUPER CHALLENGING  word problem to figure out!!! It had to do with making kid friendly sushi. The Queen of Ten told us that she will NOT be visiting on the 100 day of school, instead the King will be coming!!! We immediately starting making predictions.  Who could be the King of 100???
We are eagerly counting down the days until the 100 day celebration.

A great big special thanks to Evan's mom for coming in and making kid friendly Sushi in honor of Yoko one of our favorite characters from Rosemary Wells books! We had a blast!!!!!! We hope to make a How To Story on Voice Thread.

At Daily 5 time one of the stations was to take the Heart Word Challenge! We worked on Heart word stamping books too.

This week we worked on words that end with AP! In our Word Study books we did an AP sort.

We talked about what the word Fantasy means. We reread Hazel's Amazing Mother and recorded things that could happen and things that could not happen.

We are very excited about starting our Water Unit next week! The Voice Thread question this week was...What do you know about Water?? At the end of our investigations we will make a Voice Thread sharing what we have learned!!!

Learning Spanish

We had a lot of fun yesterday with Mrs. Talma and Mrs. Murray! We sang to two songs in Spanish. We took turns saying our favorite color. We listened to a color song and jumped up if we were wearing that color. We listened to the Hungry Caterpillar in Spanish!
