This Week in KC

On Monday Emily's mom and dad came to KC and showed us how to make pizza!!! We wrote How To Make Pizza stories at Writing time.

We read the following books on Monday to celebrate the Earth. We started writing poems at writing workshop. Many students wrote poems about the Earth.

 On Tuesday we loved sharing our favorite books from home! In small groups we shared our favorite books and told why we like it. 

The Queen of Ten came in for a visit!! We figured out that there are 20 more days left in school. The Queen left us with a sheet, she wanted us to write 20 things we learned this year and list 20 things we plan to do this summer!!!

We are working on memory books. Last week we did our faces on Kids Pix. When the Queen came in we were working on her page in our books!!!

Crazy Hair Day and Cards

The kids loved playing cards games.

This was a tricky game but we loved it! Mrs. Clancy called out the sum of the two cards which equals 6. The students have to figure out what card is on their head! The goal is to yell out the number first. This was a HUGE hit. We played a few rounds with smaller cards.

Like memory but when we got a match we added the two cards. This game helps us practice doubles.

 We worked on an Amazing Art Project...making our faces for our portfolio's!!

We practice for the class for Artstravaganza tomorrow!!!

We read Alphabet books! We looked for the letter A in names! We made a list of words that  had the short A sound and the long A sound.

Tomorrow is bubbles and balls. You can bring a ball from home.
