Writing In Stump World

Friday was N for Nature. We took our writing notebooks into Stump World and wrote poems about nature with KG. We loved writing and sharing our work.

Things happening in KC

This Friday we have portfolio morning at 8:30. We will be watching a slideshow of the school year too. Parents are welcome to stay for the slideshow. Next week we plan on making field day T shirts, please send in a white T shirt.

We have caterpillars in KC. We keep checking to notice any changes. Thanks to Emily for sharing these with KC!

 

 

 

 We have been finishing our study of Mexico. We made little books to record some of the things we learned about Mexico.

At writing workshop we have been learning about poetry. Here are some published poems. We look forward to sharing our published poems on Friday.

Special Books

We got these special books to write poems in. Today we worked on list poems. These books will be traveling back and forth from home to school. We started writing poems but decided we will use them for other school related stuff too. Hopefully, this summer students can use this book  to read, write and do math! The kids think these books are AWESOME!

This Week in KC

On Monday Emily's mom and dad came to KC and showed us how to make pizza!!! We wrote How To Make Pizza stories at Writing time.

We read the following books on Monday to celebrate the Earth. We started writing poems at writing workshop. Many students wrote poems about the Earth.

 On Tuesday we loved sharing our favorite books from home! In small groups we shared our favorite books and told why we like it. 

The Queen of Ten came in for a visit!! We figured out that there are 20 more days left in school. The Queen left us with a sheet, she wanted us to write 20 things we learned this year and list 20 things we plan to do this summer!!!

We are working on memory books. Last week we did our faces on Kids Pix. When the Queen came in we were working on her page in our books!!!
