This Week In KC

The Queen of Ten came for a visit on Wednesday! 

We have been counting down the days until her arrival! We recorded in our Queen of 10 journals.

Retelling Favorite and Familiar Books

 

 On Stay Days we have been working on story retelling. We worked with a friend to make parts of our  Flow Maps . Our maps tell the Characters, Setting, Important Events/Problem and Solution.

Apple&Pumpkins
We have been reading books about apples and pumpkins.

We wrote in black all the things we know about apples. After reading some apple stories we went back to our Circle Map and added new information learned in red.

At Science time we did an observation on an apple. We cut the apple in half to help us label the parts of the apple. Each child map their own apple Brace map. At Interactive Writing time we worked with Mrs. Clancy to label the parts. We look forward to showing you our maps on Tuesday Drop In.

The morning message had many missing letters!!! It was Mystery Monday and we had to Guess the Main Idea of the circle map!
