Guess Who Books

We read many Guess Who Books And made our own version. We started these books before April vacation. Some students worked with partners. We recorded our stories on a Voice Thread. Special thanks to Mrs. Bell who shared this lesson with Mrs. Clancy!

Curious Creatures!!

Can anyone say fun??? Curious Creatures came to our classroom today!! We learned so many different things about the animals/creatures. The presentation was AWESOME!!

The Queen Of Ten

The Queen of Ten came for a visit last week!! She taught KC how to play the math game Tens Go Fish! We look forward to playing this game after vacation week!

School Assembly

The new Bates flag was presented at the all school assembly two students from Bates created the design.  The stars on the flag represent each classroom at Bates school. On the Friday assembly, Sophie's brother sang and danced to the song Dynamite! He did a fantastic job!

 

 

The mini-marathon raised over 9,000 dollars!!The money benefits the METCO program.

The Bates Mini Marathon

Can anyone say fun???? The kids had a fantastic time particpating in the Bates Mini-Marathon!! A big THANKS to all the parent helpers and teachers who made this day special. Everyone in KC ran around Bates school 3 times. Some kids ran around 4, 5 and I think maybe 6 laps!!! Kids were tired and very proud!!

At large group time a favorite activity has been SECRET SENTENCE time!Working together we read the words and figure out where they belong. We have been learning that a sentences begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.
